here is my setup, should i get 3 gig ram with 32 bit vista or 4 gig ram with 64 bit vista? what are problems? is my processor good enough? im not lookin to play counterstrike or doom on my comp or anything

  1. wow nice specs, i got an inspiron 1720. same specs.

    id say get yourself a vista 32bit, 64 wont get you anywhere unless you run 64-bit applications which are very rare.

    64-bit vista can be backward compatible with 32-bit vista.

    remember that vista 32-bit can only read 3.5gb's of ram, while 64-bit can read up to 16gb.

    i got the same processor btw, only i got an NVIDIA 8600m GT 256mb and a 320gb hardrive and 4gb of ram.

    and dude, with 512mb of video card u can play some pretty graphic intensive games. your card will crunch down counter strike source in a breeze.

  2. its a very good setup , i don't care much for intel but they are really getting better with the duo and quad cores
