Is this a good computer, would you have bought it?

Just bought this computer as I'd been thinking about it for a little while, I'm really pleased with how good it runs and the overall price that I paid for it. I am however looking for some information if you can on what I could upgrade on the machine namely RAM and Graphics card if I can. It currently has the 1GB installed with space for another 1GB, is it worth upgrading? am I able to remove the integrated Intel 256MB Graphics card and put in a 3D one?

Thanks a lot folks,

  1. It's a decent laptop and a good price; nothing real fancy. Yes, I would have bought it for that price.  I would highly recommend upgrading the memory and leave the graphics card alone.

  2. Not bad at all for the price, the RAM and HD would be $100 alone, idk wat the conversion is. but if i had a lil extra money i would buy it if it were $400 or less idk if it is

  3. I agree with the previous person. Basically if you want something you can upgrade don't get a laptop.

  4. I don't wanna be a ***** about it.  But that laptop would never do for me. That's more a laptop you use for school business, like writing essays, msning, watching movies. My current laptop specifics are

    - 3GB Ram

    - intel T8300

    - ATI HD2400 256mb own /1xxx MB shared

But then again I'm someone who plays games, watches anime & listens to music at the same time.

  5. I think laptops are the way to go personally. But I prefer dell over all companies. I have had 2 computers by them (desktop, laptop) and I think it is the best company.

  6. From looking at that laptop its low level and would be good for basic office/web stuff. The components installed aren't really going to be anygood for any modern games to he honest,  as far as the upgrading options go you can't install a graphics card in there and the intergrated graphics are a chipset on your laptops motherboard. It would be best to put another gb of ram in there as you would see benefits from it.

  7. Depends - What do you want to use the computer for?

If you want to play (modern) games, I really wouldn't recommend getting a laptop. You should get a desktop computer.

However, if you're not a gamer and don't want to use any advanced 3D applications such as Maya or Blender, this laptop should do just fine.

  8. It is just the processor  I really think( Intel) is better than (Intel Celeron) or even AMD
