Question:

Is this a good contact solution?

I just bought some Opti-Free Replenish solution from Walgreens. When I get my contacts that is the solution it comes with. Does this mean that is that the doctor recommends? I have some Aquify, should I throw that out and the case? I have another case for opti-free, like green/whtie case. Can I use this one?

  1. Opti-Free Replenish is a good brand of contact lens solution.  Besides Clear Care [the one that you have to keep in the case for at least six hours because it contains hydrogen peroxide], Opti-Free is the strongest contact solution, followed by brands like Aquify and Complete in the middle, and Renu would be the weakest brand name contact solution.

  2. It means that is what the dr. recommends. The other case is fine. As is the optifree cse. Sut if they have been sitting around for a bit throw some boling water on top to sterilize them

  3. use the one recommended by the manufacturer or your doctor.

  4. I use optifree and i swear by it! I did try Aquify also but you might want to keep it as a back up.. and you dont have to have seperate cases for each solution but be sure to rinse it out if you happen to switch

  5. The only lens solution I use is Opti-Free Replenish. It works great for me. It keeps my eyes feeling moist all day. One time I bought the wrong Optifree (it was the express one) and it just didn't feel as good as the replenish. My eye doctor highly recommends it and I've always used it. As for a case, you don't need to use a different case if you switch solutions. And you don't have to use the green and white one with the opti-free. I personally like the two color cases so I can tell the difference between my right eye and left eye easier. Hope this helps!
