not a bad bike...its lasted 28 years so far...i can imagine an R1 lasting half that.

offer 250 its  an old small bike

If is is cosmetically decent and doesn't need Chain, sprockets and tires immediately, that is a good price. You should go to http://www.thegsresources.com/

and read up on "The Stator papers" in the Garage section. It will tell You step by step how to check the charging system as that was the Achilles Heel of the otherwise Bullet proof GS Bikes.
