Is this a good deal for a house?

My wife and I are buying our first house. We have found one that we really like and it is located in a very nice neighborhood. All of the homes in this neighborhood range from 150,000 to 185,000. This home is on the market for 109K. From the outside the home is flawless, but the inside looks like a bomb went off. The wall paint is on the trim and the trim paint is on the walls. Every switch cover has paint on it. All of the carpet has to be replaced. It looks like someone just took globs of mud and smeared it all over the carpet. and last 3 of the interior doors need replacing and the entrance door is cracked as well. But other than cosmetic damage the house is amazing. The house sold for 145k in 2004 and Is now listed for 109k. Does this sound like a good investment, or something that is just too good to be true?

  1. Definitely get it inspected from plumbing to the electrial, roof, etc.  Sounds like it needs some TLC.  If it passes inspection, roll up your sleeves; get to work and you will have a fantastic house (at  a bargain price).
