Is this a good deal for a widescreen tv?

its a hitachi 57 inch 57T500

the guy has had it for 4 years and uses it on a daily basis, said its just like new, bought it for 2300 and now wants 600 for it, for me i want longevity, hd, and play video games on it, so is this good

  1. You should buy a new lcd tv. LCD is better than plasma because plasma is heavier and older technology. LCD's are also usually thinner. LCD's are backlit and are usually brighter. I suggest getting a sharp aquos tv their range is from $500-$3000. Their screen range is from 26" to 52". Most of their larger tvs are 1080p. If you get a sharp tv under 36" dont bother with 1080p because it is only good on larger tvs.


  2. I think you would be better off buying a new set.  They have made alot of advances in plasma technology.  You can buy a new 50"  1080p set for a little under $2000 now
