  1. Not much... and nothing is broadcast in 1080p yet

That's a nice price... I would check out this article.

  2. i dont think we've hit bottom yet.  as our recession worsens into a full fledged depression  the prices will come down more i think.

on the other hand you gotta jump in sometime.. and the lost time infront of a nice huge flat panel tv.. might be worse than any extra price you pay by buying now.

as far as the difference between 1080 and 720, myself i wouldnt notince unless i had the sets side by side.. whatever you get is going to be a lot better than the old CRT tv's.

one thing you can do is go to a store that has a lot of displays .. and check out the differences with the sets side by side.

  3. Not a bad price. There is a difference between 1080p and 720p but none that you will notice if your not using a Bluray player. Even if you do use Bluray you still wont be able to notice a difference until you sit closer to the tv than 7 feet.

Now, if you are going to play video games I would strongly recommend a LCD.

  4. Given a choice between a LCD or a plasma . buy a LCD . Plasma runs at a very hi temperature. That's why they end up burning pixels and loose clarity.
