Is this a good deal? worth it or not?

ok so its a 92 yamaha 650 jetski, the guy says it runs but needs a new head gasket, are those hard to install ive never done one before but am mechanichly inclined. its only 300 bucks. i was looking to spend around 800 but all the other ones ive been seeing are like a few grand. any one ever own one of these? how do they perform? here a link thanks

A new new trailer sells for around $750 a used one would be  harder to find , but there out there. Good Luck, it will be cheap fun this summer.

First things first.How can it run well if it needs a head gasket?

Second,how does he know that's all it needs?It is not hard to

put a head gasket in,IF IF that is the only problem.When you remove the head the cylinder could be scored,or the piston or

rings worn out.I know it is only 300 dollars BUT.I would check it out a little more.Good luck.

Ask to put it in the water and go from there.

I have an '89 500 Wavejammer. It is a great little ski. The early Yammies are a bit more difficult to board in deep water, but they are fun. My 500 sounds more like a four stroke also.

I would offer $200, but would probably give the full $300. I doubt a head gasket is all that is needed, it probably will need a top end overhaul. SBT can supply all the parts, and it is a fairly easy job. Go here;http://www.sbtontheweb.com/Merchant2/mer... A top end kit is $207.00

With a pickup truck, you won't even need a trailer, and you can have a lot of fun. If you don't overestimate your mechanical ability, this sounds like a good deal.

I think it looks like a good deal, if you are not to sure call a local dealer to see what they think. If they say it seems ok then go for it.

no, don't buy something your not sure about and that already has problems. Trust me.
