  1. E color is not so good.

But if you are going for a bigger diamond and can sacrifice a little on quality, then go for it. That is a great website for diamonds though,. You are on the right track!

Does your girl like round stones? Most girls now days like radiant or princess... radiant cut is more "brilliant" meaning it will "sparkle" more. I would go for a radiant. I love mine... initially I wanted a princess until I learned more about the cuts... Go talk to a jeweler about diamonds and get a quick info session and then go to bluenile.com.

    Good luck! :)

  2. Looks pretty good to me.  Just take it to a jeweler to check for imperfections when it arrives...cracks, etc.  The size should be dependent on the size of your lady.  I got my 5'2" wife 0.8 crt, looks perfect.  If she has man-hands, you better upgrade.  Good luck, congrats!

  3. I like just make sure its not a fake!

  4. It is a great diamond, depends on the price of course. Try here. They have nicer rings and better prices for diamonds. http://www.jamesallen.com/search_results...

  5. To the lady above me, rounds are NOT less expensive, they're usually more expensive because they have more facets and not to mention their value just went up this year. (I talked to my jeweler last month.)

Anyways E is a colorless diamond, so that's great, an SI1 is okay... and the ideal cut is key in your situation. I say go for it! Blue Nile is a great site but also check out http://www.abazias.com their prices usually beat Blue Nile and they're an amazing company as well. But I say you've done well with the diamond, its a great cut, color and size!!!! GO FOR IT!

    EDIT

Check this one out...its a better clairty than the diamond you gave us the link to.

  6. E color is not so good-- are you kidding me?

the diamond had good dimensions - well cut. go for it.

  7. wow... that is beautiful!! nice job!

  8. Personally, I think that .83 is a little bit small. Unless you have a really little hand, it is not going to stand out that much. I guess the most important thing is the cut, but I looked on blue nile and I can find rings that are more around .96 for only a little bit more. This is something that she is going to wear for the rest of her life (hopefully)....why not make it something wonderful? Congrats! I hope she says yes :)

  9. It depends on the setting. If it is a solitaire then I would say that it might need to be a bit bigger, just as everyone else has said if her hands are not like twigs. How do you plan on proposing?

  10. Shopping for a good diamond can be confusing even for an expert! I'd do more research before selecting anything so you'll be sure to know exactly what you're getting before it arrives at your door and it's not what you expected. These websites should help you out, but I'd still talk to a few jewelery stores before buying anything.

  11. .83 is perfect if have a small finger.

    E color is good color

    SI1 clarity is ok

but make sure that the cut is Very Good so that the diamond have a nice sparke

and make sure also that have a laser inscription on the diamond

    and have certificate

  12. Good diamond but a terrible price- rounds are typically cheaper than other cuts because they are easier to achieve... make sure you shop around! I was looking at a 1.02 carat pear colorless with SI1 for a lil under 4,000
