I am 22 fairly tall, fast metabolism. This is what I would usually eat each day.

7:00am - Bowl of Nutugrain or 2 slices of muiltigrain bread with avacado

12:00pm - 1 sandwich with peunut butter and 1 with ham and bbq sauce and 1 musli bar with water to drink.

4:00pm - 2 hard boiled eggs

I go to gym at 6:00 till around 7ish pushing weights.

7:30 - fish or red meat or chicken usually chicken, with veggies patato or rice.

Should i be taking any protein drinks?

  1. I don't think you are eating anywhere near enough to gain some lean bodyweight.  Try including as many vegetables and fruits as you can-not only for their calories, but their health benefits.

You could easily increase your protein intake by including another snack and including meat in your lunch-more than just a bit of ham.

Protein drinks can be of great value if you find it hard to eat regularly because of work or school committments, but really you should be able to get enough in if you eat every 3 hours each day.  I go into this in more detail on my website www.fitterfasteronline.com.

The healthy eating pages are targeted towards people wanting to lose weight, but the exact same principles apply.  It is a healthy diet I recommend for everyone!  You would need to increase the quantities of protein at 2-3 meals per day and also include an extra carb serve with 2-3 of your meals.

Hope this has been a help to you.

    Jo

  2. I'm on a program that tells me 2 eat at least six times a day. Easy digestible forms of protein and you can use protein drinks 2 substitute for a meal if its the right 1 or protein bars. If you wanna gain mass, but educate more, get more info. If your serious on building more muscle.
