My boss's boss gave me these 2 Cleveland Indians Tickets today: 15 minutes ago. No warning.... Anyhow there are TWO tickets and only ONE of me. I can't scalp them or give them away because he also gave me a skybox "terrace club" stub and he expects me to use it.... I don't want to show up alone and look like a looser, (I kinda am but I'm ok with it) but I have no one to ask. So, I'm thinking about asking this one girl I used to go to college with.
Just to get it out of the way: I'm 22 she's 21. I have no interest in her "like that" at all really. We went to college together and occasionally e-mail one another, though it has been a while.
So here's the email I'm thinking about sending her:
"Hey ______, :)
So I'm working at this law firm, and one of the managing partners just hands me two tickets to the Indians v. Royals game this Wednesday (It was a complete surprise to me). I kind of have to use them, because he also gave me a ticket to the skybox "terrace club" and he expects me to be there. I guess its where all the well-to-do lawyers like him hang out at the game; I don't know.
So, I know it's short notice for everyone (me included), but would you wanna go? It's not a date or anything. I can't think of anyone to ask and I really don't want to show up alone. Then I thought about you.
Do you still live in ____? Let me know your address and I'll pick you up. We can talk and catch up on the train downtown (way easier than finding parking).
Again, sorry for the short notice, but I really didn't have any myself. The Game is at 7:05 PM; lower deck seats. I totally understand if you have something else going on.
Later,
_____"
So what do you think? Good, Bad, Ugly? :)
