Question:

Is this a good exercise??

Holding a 4 pound medicine ball out all the way with both my arms and going from left to right while holding my stomache in (to tighten muscles). doing about 50 reps twice a day. is this a good exercise? What muscles will i be working? will it help my stomache flab? (p.s. i do other work outs too.)

That's a great exercise.  i think it works ur obliques and maybe your shoulders, i think those are deltoids or something like that.  And it does help ur stomach to tighten it and hold it and let it go after a few seconds but keep breathing after you suck it in or else it won't work.  Keep doing that.  Hope this helped  =]

  3. the short answer yes. however if your goal is to get ripped abs the only way is to reduce belly fat. No product or even 500 ab exercise a day will not reduce belly fat as you need to incorporate both strength training and cardio. most people have ripped abs, you just can't seem them due to the belly fat.

If you modify this workout it will really hit your abs and Obliques. .   To do this by siting on the ground, back up right and touch the ball on the ground on your left side then rotat your midsection and touch the ball on the ground on the right side repeat this about 20+times.  Its ok to but you feet on the gound till you get better.  try this and some more abb exercises.

        Yes it will aid in geting rid of the flab by tighting your missection but if you really want to get rid of the fab you need cardio and good eating.

It sounds quite good yes but another good one would be to lie flat on the ground hold to ball between your legs and lift about 6 inchs of the ground hold for one min lift up to 90 degrees pull your hips of the ground by thrusting your legs up then come back down hold 6 inchs of the groun for another min if you do this over and over it makes flat bellies and stonger inner and outer abs

  9. sounds like a great exercise......... it works your oblique ab muscles, (aka love handles) as well as your core ab muscles (the ones in the middle)  

    ps make sure you stretch good......... you don't want to cramp, try this stretch, stand with your feet shoulder with apart, extend both hands over your head, then interlock your fingers and lean back, hold for 15 sec. then repeat going to the left the to the right

  10. Yes, it's really good, if you want to be toned you could also try pilates
