  1. Very few people use a 2 wood any more, and you don't need two putters.  Plus you have 15 clubs in that set and the rules only allow for 14.  I would drop the 2 wood and one of the putters and probably add a gap wedge.

  2. Did you ask the same question 10 hrs ago?

  3. thats a basic set except you have two putters.  YOU can only have 14 clubs total, you have 15.

If your a beginner chances are you cannot hit your 3 and 4 and probably your 5 irons.  Plus, you really do not know how to properly use your 3 and 5 woods (are you using them in the fairway or off the tee?  if the fairway, they doing anything for you.) Also, the 2 wood?  Ask Phil Mickelson is he is using a 2 wood any time soon after day 1 of the masters.

Replace your 3I, 4I, and 5 W with 2, 3 and 4 hybrid.  You will be able to control them better and will get bettre results.  Get rid of one putter, you only need one.  And get rid of the 2 wood.  Its useless for a beginenr.  Heck, Phil Mickelson probably now believes its useless for a pro.  Get yourself a gap wedge, a wedge with a loft between your pw and sw. If you want to round off the set, get a lob wedge (60 deg) but then again, high habdicapped amatures like us really can't use that club right either.  Rather see you get a 5hybrid instead.

  4. That's perfectly fine.  The 14 club rule only applies in competition, so you won't have to worry about that for quite a while.

Ignore all the other comments about other clubs you "need"

Practice your swing, use what you have, get a few lessons and play for a year or two with what you have and decide if you actually enjoy the game.  Once you have played 20-30 rounds, you'll have a much better idea of what other sorts of clubs you might want to use, but the set you have there has all of the basics covered.

  5. Yes the clubs you have are fine for a beginner setup, although there is some stuff about them.

2 putters? I have actually thought about doing this before because I was putting longer putts better with a different putter, but I just didn't need it. Since you are learning stick to one putter.

Also you can only have 14 clubs in the bag when in competition etc so I would advise you to make sure you only have 14 golf clubs even if you are only playing on your own.

You will most likely struggle to hit your 3iron, 4iron and maybe even your 6iron when starting. Also you will find it hard to keep a driver straight, and maybe to get your woods away when playing off the fairway (the 2wood you will)

There is nothing wrong at all with the clubs you have, maybe like the first guy said if you have money you could do some switching around with hybrids....but only if you are serious.

I would stick with what you have and start to work on your game, you will soon start to make your own opinions on which clubs you prefer to chip with, tee of with etc.

When you get better to "understand" the techniques of the game and you can start to hit the balls away you can look at golf clubs with a pro who can help with picking golf clubs to suit your swing/style etc.

Remember golf clubs are all made to one size (Mr Average) and you have to be lucky to be a Mr Average (height etc)

Good Luck, and the game will soon grow on you, as you find yourself having many many downs with all of the ups that come with the game
