Is this a good golf starting set?

I'm a beginner and have been searching for a set, do you think this is a good one or can I do better for the price?

Yes this is a good set. Look on E-bay or go to Rock bottom Golf for a better price.

You can do better.  Start with a couple of irons called hybrids to replace the hard to hit higher irons like 3 iron and 4 iron.  Very easy clubs to swing and get ball airborne.  Next, is to get good lofted driver or 3-wood and a few lower irons such as 9 iron and sand iron.  Adams makes nice set that are very user friendly and very easy to hit clubs for beginner golfer.  If you can afford money, seek out local professional or Master Club builder in your area.  They can assemble clubs per your height and weight as well as playing ability.  Getting properly "fitted" for clubs is pretty important and as beginner, you do not need to spend $800.00 on new Callaway equipment.  Wasting your money.  Get a couple of hybrid irons, 7-9-PW irons, sand wedge, and scope out putter fitting your height and playing abilities.  There you have it.  Remember, have FUN and get some practice in.  It will make world of difference in the FUN you have and lower golf scores.  Also, remember... It's only a GAME.  You cannot expect to be a golfer in calibre of Tiger Woods overnight and play to that level.  You would be amazed on the practice he, and other golfers put in while NOT playing on Television.  Like anything else, YOU get out of it, what you put  INTO it.  Have fun.

ok im a scratch golfer

a great set to start out is probly something with hybrids.

hybrids are a great starting club bc they get the ball up out of almost any lie. and a good wood set.

most starter kits that have hybrids have matching woods.

make sure u get grphite shafts as well.
