Is this a good hdtv?

I;m getting this hdtv http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... Its a plasma. I have right now a 7 year old 26inch standard tv. I want a hd tv for my xbox 360. Will I notice a big difference with this tv . I cant tell if its 720p or 1080i. Is 1024 x 720 a good Resolution? I just want my xbox 360 to look great will this tv do this? Please dont tell me to get a different a tv. Will this tv do? Thanks!

plasma's are on their way out my friend. with the advent of LED tvs, and the coming of Laser TV's, plasma is a dying breed, like HDDVD's are. if you're looking to game, get an LCD. they're much more forgiving. just read your "please dont tell me to get another tv." part....

well, here's the deal. i'm sure you know of burn-in, etc, so i'll keep it short. the tv will turn on and function as normal for a while. It's a 720p plasma tv you're lookin at. its fine. you'll notice the difference right away. i wouldn't get it, but it's all you.
