  1. Very handsome boy. The price is very good. But make sure you make a checklist of why/what you want in a horse first. Never buy a horse on impulse!

  2. Only if you have years of horse experience should you consider buying a yearling or foal.

They are work. And you must take into consideration if you have the time and knowledge to train it.

If you don't have years of experience, then I would consider buying a horse that's already trained, or atleast one that is older then 2 or 3 years and has had some experience.

  3. He sure doesn't look like a yearling or 15hh to me.  If he is a yearling he looks like he is going to be very small.  And maybe his temperament is 2 now..and why don't they show a picture of him in a halter or being handled as a yearling instead of his "baby pictures"

He is cute..but I would ask for more current pictures.  And, just be sure you want to deal with training and not riding for another couple of years.  The price is great if everything checks out ok.

Also, can he be registered as an Arab?

And please excuse this part..but if you know what you're in for and have the answer already, why ask others opinions?

  4. Depends on what you want to do wih him.

  5. A yearling Arab-cross stud colt is for an experienced trainer.  If you had to ask whether you should purchase him, the answer is likely no.  Get an older gelding.

And to the other guy who answered, very funny - I'm the Sultan of Dubai, too ; )

  6. He is gorgeous but you had better be very experienced to even consider buying such a young horse, much less a stallion...

  7. Yeah if you can train it. Btw its a pretty one.

  8. would be pretty good for wstern riding!really good deal!!!

  9. Oh he is cute! I would definitly buy him especially for that price! Good luck with your horse hunting!

  10. If that's a yearling, I'm the Sultan of Dubai!

Seriously, he's a good-looking 4-month-old. They don't list his birthdate on his pedigree. For $500, you can get a well-trained, mature horse at auction that will do what you want, AND rescue it from the kill buyers.

Raising and training a weanling-to-yearling takes time and costs lots of money.
