  1. a bow get a gun not a bow a guns cheaper an you can shoot the from your bedroom window get a crosman 1000fps rifle

  2.   It will be a very good bow for you. Congratulations on your decision to take up the sport of bowhunting! Good luck!

  3. I think it is a little too small for what you want.

  4. Unless you have your heart set on a bow or have shot one before I don't recommend one. I got a 1,000FPS air rifle and love it. Even though some are more expensive it will definetly be worth it. Also, your neighbors might have a problem with you slinging arrows around. I dunno about your state but in Ohio/Michigan owning a air rifle is perfectly legal. Just get one without a scope unless you know someone who can zero a scope.

  5. That bow will be fine for small game.  Don't forget the extras, like a bow quiver, arrows, and you may want a sight for your bow.  You'll need a release too.  Hunting with a bow is something that you will enjoy the rest of your life.

ADDED:  Gunsrfunmg, that bow is a compound not a recurve.  A recurve is not a bad way to start though.  Although I don't have anything against compounds, I prefer traditional bows although I do have two fiberglass recurves.

Perry N., A 30 lb draw weight is fine for squirrels, birds, and racoons, but I'd recommend a broadhead for the racoon and maybe even for the squirrels.  He could probably get away with a higher draw weight since it's a compound, and then he'd have a bow he could grow into.   Even if he changes his mind and gets a recurve he could probably work up to a 45 lb draw weight pretty quickly.  Most states require at least a 45 lb draw weight to hunt deer and that way he'd have a deer legal bow.  So maybe you should up the weight to a 45 lb.  The best exercise for building up your muscles to draw a bow is to...draw the bow.  Just don't dry fire it.  Draw it and then let it off slowly.  That works better if it's a recurve, but I imagine it would work on a compound too, just might take a little longer.  Good luck and have fun.

  6. .... its gonna be hard as h**l to hunt with a recurve bow
