I haven't write a novel before..but I am intending to write a novel in the future.

here is the idea..........

There is a boy (a 16 year old) who is disappointed about his life because of failing at the exams. Spending his life with frustration as his parents have no interest on him........ Finally he finds good friend.

She is a prostitute (22 year old) who lives a hard life........

Still I am thinking and working on this story..........

Question 2: You can write your ideas...or rest of the story...Don't be shy to write something...

  1. Most good novels and the ones that sell usually contain s*x, greed, and violence.  Try thinking along them lines.

  2. Maybe play an angle that no one would expect... because that right there sounds almost like the lead to a story along the lines of the Marquis de Sade back catalog...

I think it'd be interesting if they were entirely platonic friends; he isn't interested in her because she's a prostitute, or because she just isn't his type, etc.  She isn't interested in him because he's a teen, or because s*x is no longer enjoyable to her and intimacy is suspect, but despite this, everyone automatically assumes the worst.

  3. Mmmm...the argument reminds me that movie with Jennifer Aniston (Good Girl), only the girl was a frustrated cashier at wal mart.

  4. think it needs to continue....not in a sexual way eww and to predictable sounds like a bad p**n.....

they become friends and somehow help each other out of both situations.

he realized his life isn't so bad...his parents have been to busy but they do care for him.

she finds hope in this young boy, his kindness give her the strength to(no male in her life had ever been kind to her before)..find a normal job and go back to school.

  5. make her a high dollar call girl... nice car clothes money.  his family is poor.  she had an abortion in her early teens and now in her early thirties sort of adopts him because he's neglected.  hires him tutors and buys him shoes clothes and so forth.  she seems to have it all together and then is murdered by a politician... but no one cares because she was a call girl.  he feels obligated to bring the politician to light and expose the systemic corruption, but he's just a boy.   how will the boy bring her justice?

  6. Unusual relationships and friendships are interesting, and an interesting personality makes people want to read. Maybe although they have such different lives, there are similarities in their thinking, or they help eachother.

  7. A better story would be if he was doing very well at his exams, his parents liked him, he was popular but still felt an emptyness and then he meets a 22 year old prostitute who has had a hard life, is down on her luck and some how he comes to a greater understanding of what life means through his relationship with the prostitute

edit- By the way, its very touchy area when you make the protagonists in your novel teenagers because, unless you make them very mature teenagers, its going to come across as being teenaged angst/drama which a mature audience for the most part will dismiss and not care about

  8. Go for it. It's usually the novels that contain controversial subjects that do well in sales.

EDIT: I'm actually jotting down ideas for a similar novel of my own (I like to write) but it deals with a teacher and a student.

  9. Yeah, they called "Risky Business" and it was filmed in, like, 1983 or something.
