Is this a good idea to help make friends at high school?

i'm starting high school and know like nobody (only ONE person) and i'm really going to try to make some good friends and get a good reputation (e.g be somewhat popular, not in like the stuck up way, just have a lot of friends :) ) do you think it would be a good idea to have a small party? like once i get to know a group of guys and girls and then have one?

just like really small, like a gathering (20 people, or something)

good idea?

Well...(Forward to Mean girls moment. [If u haven't seen it, watch it.]) Maybe. If this group of guys/girls are trustworthy and ur parents are like nearby. if u r home alone then u might get taken advantage of like have 100 people or more. so be careful of who u invite.

Sounds great.  Just remember, you will be judged, so keep it clean.

Good idea  Just remember to be yourself.   Don't be to shy and start talking to different people and start hanging around with the ones you click with the most. Also getting involved in school activities is a great way to meet new people
