Is this a good internet speed???

speedtest.net gave me this result

download: 50 kb/s

upload: 86 kb/s

ping: 220 ms

when i go on the network and sharing center then properties, it says i have 7mbps but it doesnt seem that way.

If you had a 7mb connection speed, then your typical download speed should average around 4000-5000 kb/s. The speeds recorded for you are typical of dial-up speeds. If you are being charged the average price for fast speed broadband, and receiving those speeds, you need to contact your ISP and fast, as you are being ripped off big time

using cable i get 1800 down, and 800 up, and your results are characteristic of fast dial-up. not exazctly the best.

If you have broadband than it&#039;s appauling... that&#039;s a dial-up speed.

The 7mbps isn&#039;t your ISP connection speed, it;s the speed @ which data travels between your pc and the router/modem.

the download speed is quite slow, but the net speed wich is 7mbps is quite high, even 2 mbps gives a very fast response, hence 7mbps is quite good

It honestly depends on what you are doing... For normal surfing yes... Online gaming not so good.
