  1. First time I see adobong balut.

This will make me busy later in the kitchen.

It's a good lunch idea.  Looks yummy!!

  2. Some Filipinos might like it or hate it. As for me, it looks good especially without the chick in it.

  3. lunch? haha!

  4. yes!

i remember cooking this when i was about 9 or 10 years old.... my dad laughed at me saying "luto na yang balut! bat mo pa niluluto?!"

  5. Oh wow! i've never seen or heard adobong balut haha i'm a culinary major myself only here in the U.S. tho but still, lol i'll stick to just drinking the sabaw (soup) first b4 i eat the yolk thing. Uuhhmm...i'll say that will be either for lunch or dinner for filipinos like us..who cares we can eat anything whenever or whatever we want! lol MABUHAY! =)

  6. Looks yummy!   I'd take platefuls!

  7. Not a good lunch or dinner.  Balut is for eating it alone.  Never try when cooked.  It wont called a balut anymore since you cooked it.  Balut is supposed to be 80% hatch duck eggs.

  8. its good for dinner.

  9. i just can't eat balut not wrapped in orange colored coatings or those not in the shell. I don't know why, i just can't. But when if i found out the balut is from a chicken's egg or even a quail's egg, i find it difficult to eat it too.

i eat balut as a snack, not during meals.

  10. Yes, definitely. But only for "balut" (duck egg) lovers.

  11. It's good for any meal. The chewy eggwhite could also be crushed and mixed to soups or noodles.

  12. a little bagoong on there and you've got a meal

  13. Ugh, I could not eat that. I can't even eat fish if it is cooked whole, with the head and tail on and eyes popping out!
