Is this a good name for a hamster?

i got my new hamster the other day on idependance day and i thought i would name it independance. but i figured that would be to long. so i decided to name it indy ( you know like ide... short for independance) so what do you think??? is it a good name?

I got an hamster on that day to! Mines name is Kerea! Check to see if it is a male or female! (The male will have 2 bumps on his butt!) And I think the name is VERY cute!

not really, in my opinion a name like friskie or gibler might be more of a hamster name. but indy isnt a bad name
