Absolutely, especially since it is a tradition passed down in your culture. Traditions like that are so easily forgotten and tossed aside, I think it's beautiful to hold on to them! And Elohssa is a very pretty name!

How do you spell it? It seems to me most people would have trouble with it. Maybe you could find a variation of the name that you like but that people will be able to pronounce so your little girl doesn't have a hard time. Maybe Elise, Elissa, or Eloise.
