I'm 12 and i wanna rabbit but my mom won't let me. I wrote this persuasive letter and it took an hour so i gave it pretty good thoughts and wrote very wellin my opinon. My mom looked at it and shouted that i can't have a rabbit. I don

t get it. So plz read the persuasive letter and tell me if i did good or not advice blah blah blah. O and today i even washed my dog, took him 4 a walk, and cleaned up the house a bit and she didn't say anything. I had to tell her and she said thank you but shes not seeing my point. I'm getting really frustrated cuz i'm responsible and she knows it so idk why she won't give me a chance since i just lost my hamster (died in her sleep) and i had her for a long time showing that i know how to take care of pet. Well anyways heres the letter..thanx 4 reading and thanx to all the people that answer!!!

Dear Mom,

As you know my beloved hamster, Daisy, has just passed on. I’m finally letting the whole idea sink in of her death and coping. Now I would enjoy the company of a new pet. This will help me to get over the loss of a loved one. I ask you to please listen, think, and consider everything I am about to say as it would be much appreciated.

First off, I would like to state all the things that show how responsible I am in everyday life. Take school for example. I always get good grades and can multitask as well. Also, I was taking care of Daisy during school. Plus at that time, I was even managing horseback riding lessons at the same time, so I obviously could handle another pet. You have even seen me act responsible and know that I’m also a certified babysitter. I am more than responsible for my age. You know this and should be proud. Lastly, I will guarantee that my new pet will be MY full responsibility to take care of.

Next, I would like to discuss the knowledge of taking care of my new pet. As I might have already told you, I would like my new pet to be a rabbit. Why you might ask. Well, they are fun, playful, well obedient, adorable, and loving animals. They are easy to train and not as expensive as other pets. Also, if I have any questions about care and what not, I could always use the internet which has great information. Alyssa is also very knowledgeable about rabbits since she has loved and researched them since she was about 7 or 8. She will always be there to give me information, advice, and care help.

Now comes the discussion of money. I know that money is tight right now and we don’t have a lot, but I have a few suggestions and ideas. First, I could always try to raise money, since I am so determined and you have seen me raise a lot of money before. Also, you know my birthday is coming up in December. I know it’s a few months away, which seems like a long time, but it’s not that far away. A rabbit and the starter kit would be a great early birthday gift from you and Dad. I know you might think that I would want another gift from you guys when my birthday came along, even if I had the rabbit by then, but I can trust you I won’t. I still might be getting other gifts from family members, so I won’t be disappointed.

Finally, the extended life for a rabbit is up to 8-10 years (if you take care of it properly, which I will). That is a long time of pet companionship and will be worth the amount of money. So, please take in everything I have said and hopefully I will have my own pet rabbit soon, to love and take care of, for years to come.

Love,

Sara, your responsible daughter
