Is this a good plan???????

Question

When i grow up i want to be a writer. But i think i have to get another job because with writing it all depends on wheather your able to finish your book that you get paid unless you have a contract, so I was thinking to have another job like being a veternairy assistant or a kindergarden teacher and being a writer too. Is this a good plan for my future? If it is, is there anything else you can think of I can do on the side?

And yes i'm going to collage.
