I'm 14 male and I'm a little chubby. I have a big butt :(

lol I was thinking of a lil plan on losing weight.

This is my "diet"

Eating a small bowl of cereal in the morning

Eat fruit such as bananas/apples/oranges etc.

Drinking only water everyday

No snacks/junk food/chocolate

Eating only small portions of food

and for "exercise"

Running up and the down the stairs of my 3 story building for 1 hour each day?

How much would i lose in maybe 11 days?

Anything more I can do?

I just came up with something on the top of my head.

  2. Ok so you are 14...my best advice is NOT to diet or be too worried about how you look right now. Kids should never diet (in my opinion) they should just play and eat healthy and enjoy being with their friends.

That being said, here are some tips for a healthy lifestyle (cause your actions now and the habits you start now will effect your adult life):

Eat healthy- your plan for eating fruit is a great idea, don't forget your vegies.

Get regular exercise- if running up stairs is somethin you really want to do then knock yourself out, but if it's not then how bout playing a sport? It's fun, it helps you make great friendships, and it's healthy for you)

Eat slowly and stop a little before you are full. Never starve yourself, if you are hungry eat something healthy. Try to avoid sugar and your plan of drinking water is a great one.

If you just have fun and learn to really enjoy healthy food then I'm sure you will lose weight and be happy! Good luck :)

Ok so I just read about you being grounded. So that probably rules out sports, which is too bad. Maybe you can try doing exercises in your room (sit ups, push ups, lift weights) along with doing your stairs. Just whatever you do try to have some fun, okay?

  3. I would say that you have that right idea. Just make sure that you don't eat too little. Eat 5 small meals a day, watching the portions, keeping an eye on calories. As for the exercise, if that is all you have available to you then that will do. That would be your cardio, and I would also suggest lifting light weights at first, and maybe throwing in some squats( be careful knees do not go over your toes), and also maybe some sit ups and push ups, if you can. Never overdo it. Listen to your body.

As for how much weight you would lose in 11 days, I would say if you were completely dedicated, maybe 5-8 lbs. You always lose more when you 1st start to workout. Good luck to you! And don't forget to stretch!

  4. To lose weight, basically use more calories than you're taking in. So what you plan to do sounds good for the short term, but may leave you feeling really hungry. You need some nutrition if you're still growing, so don't starve yourself of nutrients. Also eliminate the high calorie foods in favor of lower calorie foods (basically veggies).

This sounds like a good plan for short-term weight loss, so if you're just wanting to lose under 5 pounds, it's a start. But if you don't maintain the exercise, as soon as you stop, you'll gain weight again. Just come up with a healthy exercise plan for the long term. Speaking of which...

The exercise sounds like a plan that would help you initially lose weight, but could also be really repetitive and boring, which means you're more likely to stop doing it. Instead of running up and down your three-story building for an hour each day, I'd go jogging around the neighborhood or play a sport. You could also risk straining your calves by running up and down the stairs without variation in activity.

  5. That is a great way to start especially the stair climbing, great idea!

Calculate how many calories you should take in daily and don't eat too little or you won't lose fat, you'll lose muscle:

    Good Luck!
