Is this a good poem? This is the second poem i have written. It's called You don't always get second chances
You Don't Always Get Second Chances
The only time
i hear your cry,
is when daddy comes home
feeling like your gonna die.
Mommy spends time in her room
to get away from Daddy,
but he finds her
and beats her badly.
Why can't he understand
that Mommy is so afraid of him,
seeing her hide under the bed
like hiding in a den.
he's drunk when he does it
trying to get away his feelings,
only when he isn't drunk
he doesn't understand why his inside is peeling.
on a saturday night
he comes home like normal,
even though this time he isn't drunk
like he is abnormal.
Daddy goes straight to Mommy's room
running fast,
only to find
that she must have passed.
he sat there and cried
like he never had before,
but he now figured out
he should've done that way before.
but now it's too late
because she is gone,
but she will never be forgotten
from dawn to dawn.
while Daddy was crying
he never saw,
that note by her bedside
he never recalled.
"I hope you now see
wat i went through,
being beaten and bruised
now you will feel the pain too.
In life you don't always get second chances
you should think twice for what you do,
you will never find
that special part of you."
