  1. i would not buy it just for the fact they are in a diffrent country and it is more likely to get broken on the way here and it will take forever to get here. but other than that yeah it is a great price for the brand you are getting but if i was you just go to walmart or best buy and get one of those really cheap systems that sound just as good and plus they get really anoying after a while when you use it all of the time.

  2. Please don't get sucked into the !/2 price scheme. That system, in my opinion, is a large hung of junk. If your considering spending that kind of money shop around.

A quick Google search locates only a couple of results with that Pioneer model number so we know its not popular or mainstream. The Recommended Retail Price is an absolute joke bordering insulting my intelligence. What idiot thinks people pay $699 for that $100 POS.

Go to a reputable store and let them know your budget. Take your ipod or some of your favorite cds and audition some in your price range. Then take home the one you think you like. Give it a test drive in your home for a while because the acoustics will be different from those in the store. A good store will have a good return/exchange policy. If you don't like the sound once you get it home, switch it with a different stereo.

The quick answer to your question is - NO, thats not a good price for that home theatre.

  3. Not much goes into sound.  It's more the digital media that you're playing off a dvd than it ever is your speakers and receiver.  You'd be just as well to get a cheap DVD home theater system from Walmart.   It would work just as well as what you're proposing.  600W total sounds pretty weak though for a sound system.  You could probably find several quality brands for cheaper at a retailer pumping 1000W.

If one day you're interested in doing High Def type stuff, you  might invest in a system that inputs and outputs HD quality video and sound so that you can hook HD peripherals like a Blu Ray player or HD cable box through your sound system.  In this case look for systems with HDMI inputs and output.  At the very least for now, it should have optical input or maybe coaxial input.

  4. Its a good price and decent quality seller seems to be newer so it may be a little risky but you should be ok if you use Paypal

  5. the real question here is if its such a good buy , why is it 1/2 price ? with shipping included ? the brand is good , but do your homework before looking into buying it via that site - prehaps you should go to ur local specialist that deal with that brand of music product - a reseller or something like that. I often ask myself as a DJ looking for a good home base system to impress - If its sooooo good why cant they sell it at full RRP ?
