We're thinking about going with the classic plan.

  1. Sounds pretty fair...and how cute!

  2. That's pretty cheap compared to my area in southwestern CT!  But everything around here is expensive!

  3. It's not an awful price, but it's not a good price either. I don't know in your area, but  in my area you can find a lot of venues that will provide all of that for free (or quite a bit cheaper) with the catch being that you have to use their catering/bar/cake vendors (which you have to do anyway). $650 also seems high for an enchanted garden ceremony considering I am booking a gorgeous garden in the largest city park in my area (Como Park in St. Paul) for $350.

My advice, check it out and if it's really spectacular and what you've dreamed about then go for it. Otherwise pass because you can probably find something better for less $.

  4. your being robbed

  5. I would look around. My friend paid that much for 250 guests. Then again your city may have more expensive halls then we do.

  6. It seems like you'd be getting a lot of things that you'd normally have to rent...so as long as the additional costs for food and alcohol are within your budget, go for it!

  7. that's not bad. we are paying $300 for our hall rental and $30 a plate for about 50 - 60 people.  And we are doing our wedding under $7000.  I think that is a reasonable price to pay.  If you start going too low on price you'll have to start sacrificing quality as well.

    Good luck and Congrats!

  8. I looked at the worksheet and it looks like it works out to about $3,500 with the garden ceremony.  That sounds fair.
