Is this a good rat cage?

Is this a good rat cage, and if so, how many can I house in it,

Yes, that looks like a very good rat cage, mine would be jealous!! I would say two to three rats could comfortably fit in there. If they are male I would say two, if they are female you could go with three. Have fun!

Yeah, probly one of the better ones from petsmart. You can house like 2-3 rats I would say.

Its big enough but rats like to chew things and there's plastic shelves in there. Probs better 2 get one with metal shelves

I could be wrong but when I used to keep rats I was always told by the people at the pet store that a metal cage was never good for animals with long tails, especially rats. Apparently, their tails can get stuck and it can cause injury.

Of course, there's always the possibility that they just told me that so I'd buy the more expensive glass one =|

yeah the cage is ok. I would put maximum of two in there.

but just remember that you need to give the little guys time out and about of the cage too. Just let them wander around your bedroom for a bit.

my rat would live free in my bedroom. i gave him a chest of draws and would leave the bottom one open a bit for him to get in - he would store his food in the middle draw and use the first one as a toilet. so clean, the little guy. And he did it all on his own - i didnt even teach him. lol -
