  1. shells, wallpaper, blue waves    go to homedepot its the best place to know about kids bedrooms

  2. hobby lobby has some great decor and prints, they also have some aisles that specialize in beachy themes alone

  3. I think it is a wonderful room.  I don't so much think the green paint but more blues and yellows or beige but you can tie it in with some hawaii flower stencils or a striped umbrella hung by the handle in the corner to offset the green.  It may be beautiful though.  You can get tikki lights from the store for cheap and put those around.  Perhaps just some beach theme pics taken from the net and then framed would be cute on the wall.  A surfboard would be great!  A palm tree would add a super touch.  I guess I could keep going forever so hope this helps.

  4. palm trees, surrf board, beach ball, volley ball net & ball, sand--all of these can be painted on or actually brought into room---surf board can be mounted onto wall as well. The other items can be put onto shelves etc. Trading Spaces from TLC channel has done beach themed rooms before--a few yrs ago--any decorating sites can give you ideas--Better Homes & Garden etc. ivilliage.com

  5. IT is an awesome theme

Checkout Freecycle and Garage Sales - find some Surfboards - Body Boards - for seating why not add some folding beach chairs.  Tiki Lamps - Grass skirts for a bed skirt

    Check out Oriental Trading also

Honestly there is a ton of stuff you can do.

  6. i think it sounds good. maybe a beadspread thats beachy, and some sort of those..um...hibiscus flowers i think they are called-paint those on, or sometimes they might come cut out in plastic or paper. otherwise sounds good!

  7. if ur wishing to spendd a lil more money you can hire a painter too paint a beach on one of the walls and thenn butt the bed right next to it so it will give her the vibe and feeling of a beach;;

  8. thats really cute!! If she uses picture frames, you could get picture frames with shells on it...that would be cute :)

  9. It sounds like a fantastic room for anyone.

It needs more blue skies and blue watery colours in it.  I don't know what you mean by bashe. Beige?

How about (half) a wooden fishing boat on its end for a cupboard, a hammock, fishing nets high on the walls with plastic fish and crabs in them. It would be even nicer if you can help your child make model fish and starfish out of clay or papier mache and paint.

  10. Yeah I think a beach room is a good room for an 11 year old!!!! The room sounds awesome, but here are some tips to make it even better: add a surfboard mirror or shelf which you can buy at pbteen.com, or mabe a blow up beach ball or you could buy a glass shelf where you can put starfishes, urchins, any sea creature that has to do w/ the beach!

  11. -um..the lime green may be too harsh to sleep in

you should have used like a blue (not navy and not light, just regular).

    -thae carpet is perfect!

-her bed could have a bright towel color (hot pink ususally) to make her feel like she's lying out on the beach

-you could get some ideas from a craft store to fix the main light in her room to look like the sun

-sometimes for extra fun decorations you can go to PArtyCity (store for party decor and favors) and get some flower necklaces like the ones they give out in hawaii to hang  around the room

-fish in a bowl (goldfish are best)

-you could get her a stuffed troopical animal (parrot, fish, flamingo, etc.)

-you could get one of those palm trees thatare fake and ment to blow in the wind...but look pretty good as tropical decor

-also you can try out those garden lights that are sort of like chinese lanterns, but instead of lanterns they have flowers

perhaps you can put that along the head board of her bed.

  12. Sounds good so far.  you could also get seashells and other beach things to place on shelves and furniture, maybe even go with white wicker furniture for the room with your bold stripes like on beach towels for the bedding.  Get a fishnet and place it in one corner draping down with shells and wooden seahorses on it.

  13. first of all, i love a beach theme for that age. Anyway, my sister has a beach theme and a really cute idea that she did was she took fishing net and attached it to the wall and then in the fishing net she glued starfish, shells, old bottles....etc. Another adorable thing she did was she had a bag of sea shells and hot glued a shell border all the way around the whole post of the door. Also it's more on the expensive side but her walls are a mural of the beach. Lastly her bedspread is blue white and green striped to add with the whole effect. Good Luck!!
