  1. It depends on the slope of the course, the speed of the greens and how long you have been playing.....  Par was 36, I am gonna say no sorry!!

  2. I agree with knarfwiz. I did not start playing until I was twelve  (I'm 15 now), and there were times when I shot in the 60's on 9 on a PAR 3 COURSE!!!!! I got better (now shooting in the mid to high 80's on a regulation 18) , you'll get better, everyone gets better who is committed to do so. I've spent countless hours just reading about or watching the great golf swings, and I've gotten better as a result. Golf is a sport of live and learn. The more you learn about the swing and the game, the better you get. Don't listen to any of these people who tell you that was a bad score. Just strive for YOUR best every time. Then try to better that, better that, better that. Most importantly, have fun golfing in your teenage years. My biggest problem is getting furious after a bad shot because I forget that it is just a a game and I often dont have fun. Just keep playing, and keep trying to get better, and you'll be suprised how quickly you do get better. Take care and good luck!

  3. 57 on a 9-hole course is a good starting round. I started playing golf a long time ago and I started on a 9-hole course. My first round was a 64 so you beat me by 7. Since then I have improved a bit and you will find that as long as you really enjoy the game and put in the effort you will also improve.

    Good Luck

  4. Well to actually find out how good you did, you would need to know the par(or average amount of strokes taken) of each hole.  But If you're new at golf and were able to keep your score at a countable number I would say that wasn't too bad.

  5. it is if par is 58 or more

  6. golf is a game in which you truly compete against yourself...57 is neither good or bad,  but if it's your best then congrats and next time shoot for a 56...\P.S. the average golfer shoots a 100 for 18 so there you go!

  7. No it's not. Usually, if you want to become a good golfer, you have to hit in the low 40s. I'm 13 years old, im a girl and I hit about 3 overs 9 holes. With that, i'm not even at the top of the leaderboard when I participate in the Junior Tournaments.

    Good luck.

PS: Practice your short game. It's the key for lowering your score.
