  1. Sounds good to me. I use sulfur soap all the time.  But I think you still need to use Benzoyl peroxide to avoid acne if you have acne prone skin.

  2. get a product called acne-free and follow the directions its a wonderful product and worked for me when proactive didn't

  3. That's way to much stuff in my opinion ,

    I'd try this out ;

    morning ;

    Biore ice cleanser

    Biore Moisturizer

    And Biore Toner ,

i try to keep all the acne products i use

    coming from one company

    evening same thing ,

    Night ;

    Biore ice cleanser ,

    Biore MouisMoisturizerthen some kind of

    Acne eliminating spot

treatment with 10 % benzoyl peroxperoxided do the mask , steaming face, and iceing it ever other day with each routine.

    but for you ,

    Morning :

    2) wash face with sulfur soap

    4) apply toner (clean and clear deep cleansing toner)

    5) apply Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer on TOP of the clean and clear toner

    Evening :

    1) wash face with sulfur soap

    2) scrub face with St. Ives Sensitive Apricot Scrub

    5) rub face with ice (close pores)

6)apply clean and clear deep cleansing toner

    7) apply moisturizer on top of toner (oil free neutrogena moisturizer)

    Night

    1) wash face with sulfur soap

    2) wash face with oil-free neutrogena acne wash

    3) apply clean and clear toner (deep cleansing toner)

    4) 10% bensoyl peroxside on the really bad places.

    chin, nose , exetera.

  4. I think you can skip the night routine because washing your face too much irritates the skin and dries it out.

Otherwise, it's a good routine even if it is time consuming.

  5. Very obsessive, aren't we?

You don't have to do THAT much for it to get better.

Skip evening, and just do morning and night.

You don't have to wash your face 2x.

The sutff you apply is good.

At night, try to wash witht he apricot scrub. (it's waht i use, and it works)

If you feel it's dirty/oily at any time of the day, wash your fase with soap or rinse it with water. ;p

  6. Iam a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

If your skin is dry form over the counter acne products that's a case in most people. Reason being is because they contain too much benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or sulfur.  Too much of it can OVER DRY, IRRITATE and cause IRRITATION!!!

In my experience of 12 years alot of commercial store bought products DO NOT WORK!

As far as scrubbing or exfoliating it depends on your age. You dont want to over scrub or exfoliate because depending on your breakouts you may end up spreading the bacteria from one breakout to the other making it worse!

PLEASE READ THIS WITH YOUR MOM if you are under 18, I have a great solution for you!

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

However, using make-up sponges that are not changed or washed often can contaminate the pores with bacteria which may develop into acneic breakouts.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

    Michelle

  7. I think you are using to many products there. and you should not be washing your face so many times as you will loose your natural oils in the skin which can lead to dryness of your skin. http://epictureperfect.net/acne_cure.php

  8. You are doing too much. Try this. Wake up.  Wash face with any perfume free soap gently. Rinse well with cool water. Pat dry well with a fresh clean towel. Done. Smile. Do the same thing before bedtime. Done. Sleep.

  9. definately not. you are washing your face WAY too much. it's  actually harmful if you wash your face too much because it irritates and dries out your skin, so your skin produces more oil, creating acne! it would be better if you did it like this:

    morning

    1) Wash face with EITHER sulfur soap or neatrogena acne free wash ( you shouldnt wash your face twice in a row)

    2)apply toner

    3) apply moisturizer ( thats definately ok, your skin needs moisturizer!)

its also fine to skip the toner and put sunblock on top of your normal lotion

for evening, you shouldnt be washing your face. if you do too much with it, its as bad as doing nothing at all. if you want, you can steam your face and apply a mask no more than once a week, and you should do it at night before you go to bed so you dont have to wash your face again.

    for night:

    1) once again, wash with sulfur soap OR acne wash

    2) apply toner

AND you should also apply moisturizer at night

remember, its best to wash your face ONLY twice a day

  10. well actually your face can get irrated by all those product being used in the same day. tone it down. especially cuz the scrub should be used only 2-3 times a week.
