Is this a good saying or metaphor?

EDIT: Were you drinking absinth last night and stringing words together? It's sounds like something Van Gogh would write on a bender.

It's not a metaphor.  It is a very complex thought, one that will sail right over most readers.  It might qualify as an aphorism, although possibly too complex.

i think it's more like symbolism. your words represent your feelings to your friend and well, it's too long to be a metaphor and it doesn't really sound like a extended metaphor and it's not a really good saying because it isn't really conventional
