I mean, how many times have you messed up on something, and then you never did it again because you remembered what happened last time?

well, yea. but is not always true. as an example of not learning, my brother was playing mario the other day. he got killed by the same mushroom three times. an example of learning is that on the fourth time he finally learned to avoid the mushroom.

As long as you do, in fact, learn from your mistakes, its a great reminder that no one is perfect, and we are constantly learning.

My theory in life has always been  that, as long as you learn from your experiences, there is never any need for regret.  Its is only when a failure is wasted that you should regret your actions.

Thats not to say that I don't feel guilty sometimes...but certainly regret isn't something I have.

Unfortunately, not everyone does learn from their mistakes.  We should TRY to do that, but it doesn't always work out that way.
