Alright. I can't believe that its the first week of school and I have to have 3 science fair ideas by friday. I am in 9th grade so I need a high school level project. My mom is the owner/director of a preschool. So I wanted to use children in my experiment. (Yes, I know I have to get the human subject forms and everything) I was thinking about doing how does food affect memory. And feed them like cheetos one day and test them and then blueberries (a brain boosting food) the next day and test them. Is this a good topic? If you have any other ideas please let me know. I would like to avoid doing something with color because the teacher used that as an example. You tweak my experiment or even completely change it. I would like to use humans.

Thanks for the help! and sorry if it was long(:

  1. actually food will not work for such a short memory project do something like, can they remember the words to a simple song while playing a video game and you will have it made.

  2. wow... you came up with a really good one...at first i thought you meant have the children HELP OUT with the project..in that case i would say bouyancy i did a project with 2nd graders and they loved it...you really just need bowls of water and different objects...then the kids have to determine which would float/not float...a lot of fun  did it over 10 yrs ago but remember..hope it helps for the future maybe!!good luck

  3. great idea but experiment with diferent kinds of foods not just chetos and blue berrys try tomatos or carrots too as these have some intresting propertys tht may come into play but use your reserch and imagination and make shure to have a controll of students that havent eaten annything yet i would do at least 5 foods plus a controll
