Alright.. heres my setup im thinking so far

Head Unit---Pioneer DEH-P4000UB 50x4 22rms x 4

Subwoofer--- Audiobahn 15" Immortal 2250 watts RMS

Amplifier-- Hifonics BXi2008D 1300watts RMS wired at 2 ohms and 2000watts rms wired at 1 ohm.. probally wire it at 2ohms since its less strain on the amp

ok so thats what im figured for a fairly decent system.. I dont care about SQ.. thats why im getting an Immortal, so dont tell me Audiobahn sucks because I dont care.. If I wanted SQ i would buy an L7 like everyone else..

but my question is what else would i need as far as alternator, or capacitors.. or anything else like that.... also I know they make low-pass cross overs and high pass cross overs.. will adding those make the system sound any better even though the head unit has a sub cross over feature in it?????

  1. u r definetily going to need a high output alternator and i would do the big 3 also...u dont need a compacitor

  2. Haha, Aubiobahn Immortals FTW!

    I had each 12 getting 2400 constant.

The Immortals can take more power than they are rated for.

Each woofer had an R3000D amp for itself.

On top of those, I had a PPI Sedona IX400 giving my component set 650 constant.

I had two 200A alternators and 4 Kinetik brand batteries.

    For you, I don't recommend a capacitor.

You should get at least 250A of available amperage, start looking at HO alternator for sure, you will definitely need one.

    Are you only adding woofers?

    No amped speaker/components?

Do the "big 3" using 0 guage wires.

Be sure to use 0 guage wires fo power also.

You will definitely need at least one powerful battery, I recommend two Kinetik brand batteries.

No need for xovers really, you don't really care about SQ so eh...

    Take it easy
