  1. Perfect!!!!!!!!

  2. LOOKS GREAT! Good for you for putting a betta in there because it is way to small for a goldfish.I think it is cute and a great size for a betta! Good Job!

  3. As long as it over 10 litres, (which i'm pretty sure it is if my conversion is correct) it's a good size for a betta, especially as some people insist on putting them in cups. People have to remember that just because they can live in small confined spaces, it doesnt neccessarily mean that they're happy there. As long as a betta has plants and plenty of hiding spaces in their tank, it doesnt matter what the size of the aquarium is.

One thing is a problem. It's a coldwater tank designed for goldfish (even though its far too small for goldfish). It isnt fitted with a heater which is essential for a betta as they're tropical fish which originate from Malaysia and needs a constant temperature of between 22 degrees celcius (minimum) to 27 degrees celcius (maximum)...

This isnt a problem though, as you can buy a small fishtank heater from most decent petshops that wud keep your betta happy!!! x*x

  4. Thats a great tank choice for a betta but make sure you get a heater for it to keep the water temp in the upper 70's to low 80's.  Oddly enough its too small for any goldfish.

Don't believe the hype that bettas prefer small spaces, in reality theres no such thing as a tank thats too big. :)

  5. I wish they'd stop showing photos of goldfish on those small tanks......Reminds me of those play kiddie pools that show a 10 year old kid going down the slide....and when you buy the pool, a 2 year old can barely fit on the slide lol....

For a few dollars more, you can go to walmart and get yourself a basic 10 gallon set up, and have a few more fish then just a betta in there.  Or, if you're set on one of those smaller tanks, I think the 5 gallons are about 30.00 and they have different colored ones, probably a better filter as well.

The problem with that small of a tank, bettas need warmer temps, like around 78-80°F, and that small of a tank is gonna be hard to keep a constant temperature in.  Most "regular" heaters will heat that too high, and not sure how well those "small tank heaters" actually work, but usually they only heat up 4°.

And, bettas don't "need" smaller space, common misconception about them.  Whenver I've had them in a larger community tank, they swam all over the place-top level, bottom, middle, they do enjoy having room to swim around in.

  6. It's alright but has a couple of drawbacks.  First off the "filter" isn't really a filter, it's just a thing that stirs the water.  You'll still need to change the water about every 3 days.  It also has no heater which is a problem for a betta because they need temps around 80F.

It is totally a myth that betta's need a small space.  A 5 gallon is the bare minimum they should be in to be healthy.
