  1. I would say that the K2 board would be a really good board for learning and progressing - I know several ladies that ride that board and like it.

The 146 would be the right size unless you are still growing and would be out of that board in the next year - then maybe the next size up.

You could save some money by getting a cheaper binding - maybe some K2's or Ride EX bindings.

Note that not all Burton bindings will fit a non-Burton board. Burton uses a different mounting pattern - make sure that any Burton bindings you buy come with the standard square mounting pattern used by everyone else (including K2)

    Good Luck

  2. If you mean go with the bindings by matching, it really won't matter because nobody is going to notice on the mountain.

The board should come up between your chin and your eyebrow region, so get a tape measure out.

I'd say for you get an all mountain board, but if you really think you'll progress to the park then get a jib board.

  3. I'd go with a 149, even if you're done growing. I'm shorter and weigh less and I ride a 152.

Most important in any setup is the boots. You can have a kickass deck and bindings, but if your boots are uncomfortable, you'll be hating it. On the flip side, if you have a mediocre deck and bindings, but comfortable well-fitting boots, you'll have a much better time and you'll progress faster.

  4. The K2 Luna is a good board but its more of an intermediate level board rather than a begineer board. You might find that you struggle to ride it a bit and it wont be the easiest board to learn on. You would probably be better off with a K2 Skyla or a K2 Moment rather than a Luna. Other boards worth considerind also are Nitro Mystique, Forum Star, Burton Feather, Sapient Fluid, Salomon Lotus.

As for bindings the Stillettos will be ok  but im not sure if you will need a large or medium binding. Size 8.5 is a medium in mens but for womens it may be a large? sorry not sure on that one.

For the boots you should always go for comfort over everything else never buy boots you havent tryed on first as different brands of boot fit different foot shapes better. You can only know what fits you best by trying on a large range of boots made by different brands and going with the ones that are most comfee and fit your feet the best. Vans are a very good make though, if you have tryed those boots on and they fit your feet well they will be a good choice. Hope this helps, Good luck with the riding.

  5. well it depends all on what u want to do and what kind of riding style u like

park(rails, jumps, etc..) get a more flexible board and more flexible bindings

all mountain(exactly what it says good for any run and day in the not too stiff not too flexible)

forgot the exact name of the other type but its for slope riding not really for rails its stiffer. Just figure out what style is more u and then pick ur board (id recommend an all mountain board thats what i ride and then ur not stuck doin 1 thing

im not exactly sure about the bindings cause i think 8.5 might be medium and i don't know if  u will grow to have boots big enough for a large u can check on a google search to see exactly what binding size hope this helped if u have any more ?s ill help u out just go to my user proflie and get my email :)
