Is this a good song to sing if i'm auditioning for the part of fern in charlotte's web?

  1. I would say that's very appropriate!

    It was well done, though here's a couple tips:

    1) Figure out something to do with your body that's not rocking back and forth... I know the temptation in a swivel chair is to swivel, but it makes you seem nervous or insecure... and it's distracting.  Obviously, you won't be in a chair for your audition, but my bet is that you'll play with your hands or shift your weight back and forth.  Try to keep your feet planted (note- not locked and stiff), and if you really need to move, try to take a step forward at the key changes.

    2) Smiling is a great thing to do when doing an audition... however, don't be afraid to use other facial expressions.  "Maybe" is kindof a bittersweet, whistful song... don't be affraid to express that.  Annie is hopeful and daydreaming, but it's still a piece about yearning for a family.

    Otherwise, great job, and break a leg!
