its about the book 'walk in my shoes' wrote by Alwyn Evans

This powerful and moving story of a family’s courageous move to Australia evokes many deep emotions. With impeccable, detailed descriptions of characters and remembrances, the well printed book is very much for an adolescence and above audience. Walk in my shoes is one of those books were you just cant seem to put it down and the pages turn themselves.

Fleeing from Afghanistan, Gulnessa and her family find themselves in Australia to face more troubles then they hoped for. Being imprisoned in a refugee centre for more then four seasons, Gulnessa’s hope for a new life in a new country stays strong. Once having an approved Australian visa, Gulnessa and her family explore their new home town, however the forbidden love that Gulnessa shares with Abdul leaves them separated at this point in time. The excitement of learning the English language and experiencing many so called ‘luxuries’, bring them to a conclusion that their out of harm’s way at last.

  1. i think it is a pretty good start.

  2. it's a very good introduction =)

  3. These are two very good paragraphs that you have written. I would however, make some small changes.

The first paragraph that you have written here feels like it would fit really well at the end of the review as a summing up conclusion.

In the second paragraph, I like how you give the summary but I feel like you give away too much of the story (nb I don't actually know the story, if it actually goes on for ages after they get the visa and learn english then this doesn't count, i just dislike the use of the word conclusion). People won't read the book if you give away the end.

Possibly you could only give a summary of the bulk of the book, ie up to where you talk about Abdul, with a little more depth. You could possibly describe more about the tone or talk about why their love is forbidden.

Other than that, it's an engaging reveiw.....and ps don't worry too much what I say, I'm just a nit-picker :P
