Is this a good step for my career in IT?

Question

I used to work in helpdesk environment, studied IT in college, it's my 2nd job both were helpdesk related.

I really don't see a career path n i'm very dishearten how my career is going to progress. I know this helpdesk is not my life and i want to get out of it.

Can any seniors in this industry point me to a direction? Will taking ccna or mcse be of any advantage in building my career?
