  1. do yourself a favor and get the onkyo ht-sr800 instead. It doesnt have a dvd player, but you can get one seperate. I did alot of research before buying mine and it's top rated through consumer reports for a reason. Check it out.

  2. YEAH IT IS SAMSUN IS A NAME BRAND COMPANY

  3. No one can tell you if it's a good deal or not because you have to hear the sound quality to come up with that conclusion.

Do your homework first before you buy.

Read the costumer reviews on the product & what it rates in durability & quality you can do this on-line.

Go to the store that has it and checked it out before you buy it.

Since this is a order on-line product see if the store has it in stock in your area.

If not, call around to see if circuit city, conn's, radioshack or any other Electronic store in your area has this model in stock for you to check it out.

You as a costumer have to listen to it to see if it's the type of speakers that would put out the sound quality you want.

And to make sure it has all that you want in a system. If it has a DTS decoder, what hook ups are on the back of the unit in case you want to hook up your VCR, TV, & etc to it.

"If it's the online price you are going for"

Once you make up your mind if you want this product most store do a price match if they have it in stock to get your business over their competitors. They never price match an item if it is sold online. It has to be the same model number and not a rain check price. And plus most of the stores offer a 30 day price Guarantee incase they mark it down or it goes on sale if you buy it from the store not on line.

  4. If you're willing to spend that much money, I'd try to get something from a company known for making audio equipment.

Try to search for options made by Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon, Harman/Kardon, or Sony ES (not to be confused with regular Sony).

  5. Please, Please, Please DON’T buy this, do yourself a favour and look around a bit more, try zipzoomfly.com and others..

I say this because when you by a product in the modern world, it has to have the WOW factor, and that may have to last for up to five years before you change it... check out the ‘Creative Gigaworks’ products or the Harman Kardon’s SoundSticks II, and compare some studio monitors like the legendary JBL CONTROL 1 at, htfr.com you’ll be amaze

Or import a range from thomann.de one of the biggest and best store for Audio/music, you’ll still get ten times as much for half the money you are planning to spend

This why we have the Internet, no longer will we be ripped off with bad rubbish. The very best of luck…

  6. looks good if it comes with a dvd player

  7. No.

People who buy these systems are often back here whining about "How do I connect..." only to learn these systems do 1 thing: play DVD's on the internal player.  Thats it.

A good HTIB (Home Theater in a Box) looks like the parts could be sold separately.  It has lots of spare inputs on the receiver, and the speakers and subwoofer can be swapped out in the future.

I have put a link to one such system. Add a DVD player and you have a good, basic, flexible system.

  8. Yeah. Especially since it's on sale. I'd buy it...

  9. I recommend Altec Lansing FX4021 2.1 Powered Audio Speaker System! Very powerful and small and cheap!
