Ok, so when i was young, about 7/8 maybe? I was absolutely terrified of death. Also i remember my nana taking me and my sister out to the beach and i was really upset because i didnt want her to die.

But now i couldnt give a ****, i think, well, live life to the full.

Whats the more healthy thought? Hating death to an extreme or thinking its ok?

Im not obsessed with death, but if it crosses my path then i think o well, meh.

  1. it's not healthy or unhealthy...

    more like pessimistic or optomistic

    it's just a thought.

it's like asking you if you like blue or yellow.

  2. Being extremely scared of death isn't healthy, but not caring about death is (as long as you aren't suicidal). We are all going to die someday, we can't evade it so yeah you should live life to the full. Death is a fact of life, there is no point being scared of something you can't avoid.

However you should greive if someone you love has died, that's fine.

  3. I wonder What comes next?

  4. I guess it depends how often you have the thoughts? I'd say it was ok to think of death as its gonna happen one day, but not excessively..

  5. you have an honest and realistic view of life.  I am almost 45 and I am healthy because I eat the right foods and vitamins.  I get fearful when I watch scary shows and it is natural.  You are protective and maybe you can think about a career in medicine.  Sounds like you would be a great nurse or doctor.

  6. This is a normal change to go through as you grow up.

Seeing death as a natural part of life is important just don't be too blasé about it though, because while it is natural it is still not necessarily a good thing.

  7. if you are extremely scared of death that is not a healthy thing.

however - you think death is "meh"?!

I don't think you have really dealt with the issue - it is OK to be upset and cry and grieve in fact it is healthy.

  8. Everyone around the age of seven and eight start to really understand what death means and that is just normal you were afraid of it at the time. You have matured now so you are not as scared about it as you have been in the past.

  9. I honestly couldn't care less, there is f*ck all you can do about when you're going to die (unless you take stupid risks) so why bother thinking about it!

  10. you're definately on the right track thinking death is ok. because it is that's what we do. Born, live, and die. part of nature. ......um much like a f**t

  11. The healthier thought is to live life to the full.

  12. That is a healthy attitude to have, as death is the only guarantee we have and its best that you have a great life rather than worry about what will happen when your dead

  13. I too felt like that when I was a teenage, because I was very close to my nan and the thought of losing her was awful.  I'm now 44 and she's 89, and I would never have dreamt when I was 13 and had that thought that she would reach 89.

I don't as a rule think about death much these days even though I'm many steps closer to it.

Death is there to make us realise that life is precious, and that we need to live the moment because it is the only moment we have, and we never know when our last moment will come.  It's no good waiting until you have a brush with death to start living your life as you want to live it, you need to live every moment as if it is your last.

Time is your most precious commodity............................
