(i am a 14 year old girl)

i just got back from a run, exactly 30 minutes, and i went 3.5 miles. Is that ok? I wasn't pushing myself too hard, but I forced myself never to stop, and to keep the same pace the whole way (except at the end when I sprinted)

Keep in mind i've only been training (for XC) the past 2 weeks, and this is my first XC season... is that a good time?

  1. yeah that's really good....especially due to the fact that you've only been training for two weeks. Yay for not stopping..that's the key to distance runnning.Mind over matter. Good Job....Hope you have a great xc season.

  2. Wow, that is a good time, especially for your age. That means you ran an average of 7 miles per hour, which is a very good average speed for cross country running.

  3. I also do xc but im a 15 year old boy..i dont know why theres a difference..i can do a 5k (3.1 miles) in 22 minutes and most of my girl friends can do a 5k in about 27 minutes so your time is definetly pretty good.

  4. yes, that's very good! especially because you've just started- you're just going to keep getting faster! that pace should put you at about a 26 minute 5k (3.1 miles) which is good for your first season. and you've only just started training, you're going to get ever better quickly! :)
