  1. bad trade for the knicks. knicks dont need def they need scoring.zack can red and shot which makes the cavs better and ben wallace is too old he played how much year 15-17 yrs

  2. This trade is all-right but not really a big trade. Cleveland gets better deal because ben wallace can't do a thing.(He might be good in volleyball)

  3. na zach randolph is all that new york has going for them and the cavs dont need randolph they are better off with big bens defense

  4. Why are people hating on this trade? This is a good trade. The Knicks bring in a proven defender, 4-time Defensive player of the year, not to mention having an uptempo coach like D'Antoni can really improve Ben's offensive game. And, as you mentioned, they can relieve 15 millions dollars of cap space after Wallace's contract expires to be in the reckoning to acquire Lebron james.

Randolph isn't a great player, but he's significantly better offensively then Wallace. Cavaliers really don't need a player like Ben Wallace, when they have Lebron James doing all the scoring. Obviously if someone loses in this trade, it might be the Cavaliers. They are contributing to the Knicks by giving them an easier chance to steal Lebron. Cavaliers don't want that to happen. But if they get a player like Randolph, they could have a really good chance to reach the Finals either this season, next season, or both.

But, guys, you better hope that the Knicks/Nets get Lebron, otherwise he'll ship overseas to Europe in 2010. Start hoping these teams create cap space, because right now, they aren't doing a very good job. But I'd like to congratulate the team for acquiring Mo Williams. He's a proven scorer, and he'll average atleast 16 ppg. But they also lost even more cap acquiring Mo.

  5. Doesn't do much for either team. It's kinda like swapping garbage for garbage. Cleveland gets a low post presense who's too d**n lazy to go to work defensively (kinda pointless when your team's strategy is to plant jump shooters in the corners and make them wave at LeBron going "Me. Me' Me, Pass to me, I'm Open!" NY gets a past his prime defender who is 2 teams removed from his hey day as a DOY.

However, both teams would still be heading nowhere as both Ben and Zach are locker room cancers who are approaching or past their primes.

Cleveland would be better off as they do not need any more defenders as they are pretty set in the post as they still have Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Plus the 2010 cap relief can help them keep LeBron. Not to mention that i doubt that Zach would be able to fit in Di"Antoni's offense, imagine what kinda h**l Di'Antoni is in for with the Corpse at centre.

And as a Bulls fan, it'd be really funny to see both Duhon AND Wallace in a Knicks uniform. I'd really enjoy that part...

  6. i think that ben wallace for zach is good cuz ben is ols

  7. Now why in the h**l would the Knicks agree to this??

Ben Wallace is garbage, he's always been a product of the Detroit System, the only reason why he was ever a good defender was because of the guys in Detroit that also played good Defense. Most of his blocks were from weakside help.

  8. It might have been before the trade today, but Randolph no longer fits with the Cavs now that they have Mo Williams.  They now have a shoot-first point guard, LeBron, Big-Z, and Wally.  That's a lot of shots to go around.  Considering that Randolph is a vacuum in the post and has been known to jack up 20 shots a game, who gets left out?  That doesn't even consider Gibson coming off the bench.  Besides, Wallace looked like the last survivor of the Civil War last year.  There's a reason the Bulls traded him last season.  Why not call the Heat and offer a straight up Randolph for Marion trade (with cash, draft pick, or a minor player if needed)?  The Heat has no post presence and Randolph fills that need.  Marion knows D'Antoni's system already and has Curry in the post on offense and Marion rebounds and plays help defense which Curry and Randolph don't do.  Plus, the Knicks could offer a 6-year 90 million dollar extension to Marion in order to continue to overpay players and destroy cap space.
