Is this a good trumpet?

I am just now starting and I really like this one:

No its really not.  I especially wouldn't buy a trumpet from a place like Costco.  Try woodwind & brasswind, just google them for their website.  If you are really going to be playing for any length of time you should really try and spend $450-500 at least, even on a beginner horn.  If you buy a really low quality horn, something will break or stop working, probably not too much longer than a year (not too mention the sound and ease of playing) - and to pay more money to get it repaired/worked on just doesn't make sense.  Whatever you do stay away from those novelty horns with the color plating, they are really terrible, and take care of and carefully maintain whatever you do buy.
