  1. your almost there.. raise the basking spot up to about 130Fthe 10 degrees will make a world of difference . hot side 85F-90F,  cool side is better at 75F-80F all and all it sounds like your definitely on the right track. you just need to correct a few things  the jury is out on UVB for uros but id use it.  you need to  have a good deep substrate at least a foot. remember that is as important as the heat.  your going to also have to cover up most of that lid. screen lids and heat lamps dry out animals very quickly. anyway e-mail me and we can go over proper substrate for you uro. good luck .

p.s. dont listen to reptiman. you want the spot under the lamp to be about 130F. remember hot spot temps and air temps are 2 totally different things. ever go to the beach on a 90F day? the sands like 130F.. your uro needs to put its belly on that 130F. the problem arises when people use things like hot rocks that dont have an even heat. so small spots on the rock get WAY hotter than the rest.  those small spots are what burns them not a big hot spot.

  2. Try large diameter PVC pipe for a burrow, he'll LOVE it! I use slate rock under my basking spots, it's fine. They burn themselves on heat rocks if the ambient temp. is too low. Also a natural rock will not be the same constant temp. Uromastyx like it HOT!

  3. It meets the basic needs. I think a uro would be happy with a hidey spot too.

  4. the only concern i have is that that rock under the light will get to hot uromastyx have no nerves on there bellies so you might have to check that see how hot it gets if it burns your hands take it out and put sand in there so it takes the heat but also so its not so hot other wise the cage looks good
