Question:

Is this a good way to loose weight?

I am 14, turning 15 this year. I weigh 165 pounds. I go to the gym 3 times a week, I do 15 minutes on the treadmill burning 120 calories, and 15 minutes on the rowing machine also burning 120 calories (the rowing machine isn't as tiring). Afterwords, I swim 20 lengths for 20 minutes. I stopped eating junk food and drinking pop (besides Arizona Green Tea). I also drink around 2 and a half liters of water each day. I sleep for 7 hours. Is what I'm doing a good way to loose weight? Also what should I use for the chest and stomach?

  1. Its better then taking a bunch of diet junk and sitting on your bum so yes you are doing good


  2.   Sounds like a good start.

    Avoid sugars and fried food.

    Diet colas are Ok but don't go overboard ,as there is some contraversy over long term effects.

      THe physical activity is good but don't burn out on it. A diet and excercise program has to be a permanent life time commitment. When you reach you ideal weight, you can slack off a little.But stay eating as healthy as possible .Otherwise you will put it all back on , and it will be harder to take off again.

    Get adequate protien, and fibre.

    Get plenty of veggies ,eat as much as you like of anything green

    Use whole grain breads

    Eat high fibre cereal

    An occasional cheat may be OK ,but be careful. Sugar and fats can be as addictive as drugs

  4. Forget the gym.  Work on your grammar.  Never said that before, but to loose some weight?  You have to be kidding me.  I am losing my mind.  

  5. I think that you are doing fine.  Forget the guy that was rude about your grammer.  I guess he missed the part where you said that you were 14....

    Anyways,  just keep it up and don't give up.  Try to eat 5 small healthy meals a day.  Eat every few hours.  You will get the weight off if your just patient and persistant at your goal.  Good luck!!!! :)
