Is this a good way to make a new friend?

If your in class and you see someone you want to be friends with

lets say they have a percing and you think percings are sick

and you write them a note and your like your percing is sick, when did you get it.

Is that a good way to make a friend?

Yea then hang out...ask for phone number's, addresses, ect, ect, habg out somewhere, tell life stories. ill work.
